Painted Sky Redux

The sun emerged from behind the clouds, and instantly, I felt it on my face. It was a warmth not like that of trapping my own fleeting heat. It was a gentle kiss of rays, and with it came a deep calm that the day was ending, and that I had earned my rest. My hopes and plans, my itinerary, could wait for the sun's eventual rise. Indeed, the sun would return, and with it, a new day filled with new challenges, but for now, enjoy a fleeting peace. Slowly, and with glorious color, that light dimmed beneath the horizon, and it's warmth disappeared. My day had ended, and it was time to await the next.
